SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO – John G. Johnson Construction Company is proud to become the building partner for the North Carolina non-profit based organization, Purple Heart Homes ( with the renovations of an existing home for veteran Corporal Leo Robinson located in the City of South Euclid, Ohio.

“We are thrilled to be part of something as important as this for an individual who has provided his services to our country for our freedom. Leo has had an incredible life journey in such a short period of time, we hope our few months of renovating his home will bring years of comfort and enjoyment to him and his family”, stated JGJ President, Marty Weber.

Marine Corporal Leo Robinson was compelled to ‘help his country,’ after the tragedies of 9/11. He enlisted in the Marines. The military was a family affair. Robinson was deployed first to Al Ramadi Iraq and then to Helmand, Afghanistan where he was injured. He suffers from PTS, Tinnitus, impaired hearing and chronic renal disease. Robinson looks forward to being able to hang pictures on his walls and having a fenced in back yard tor his twin boys to be able to play and to be able to safely let out his faithful service dog Kota.

The home in South Euclid is the second Purple Heart Homes project in Ohio. Purple Heart Homes purchased the home from the Cuyahoga County Land Bank for $1.00. The home is a hand up and not a hand out as Robinson will be paying a mortgage of 50% of the appraised market value.
